Day 1-Transfer to Volcanoes National park and visit to Musanze caves.
After breakfast you shall drive northeast to the town of Musanze close to the Virunga Volcano range about 2hrs 30mins drive from Kigali. Here you will visit the Rwanda’s Musanze caves which date back 65 million years and lay within the volcanic region where lava flow layers long ago created the Albertine Rift Valley.
The caves involve hiking 2 kilometers distance and have brilliant views of cascading lights from the surface, unique rock formations, and a colony of bats. You will have lunch and then continue your journey to Volcanoes national park. Check in and relax at your lodge

Day 2-Gorilla tracking and Visit to Ibyiwachu cultural village.
Have breakfast as early as 6:30am, and later transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing regarding gorilla trekking which begins at 7:30am. You will hike through the forest looking for mountain gorillas. The experience can be tedious but rewarding when you finally face the mountain gorillas.
These gorillas stay in distinct families as they go about their day-to-day errands not minding about their unsuspected visitors.
You are required to maintain a distance while you watch them, make sure to turn off the flash of your camera as you take pictures and also keep silent. Gorilla Trekking takes approximately two to six hours. After the tracking, return to the lodge and after lunch visit the Ibiwachu cultural village for an insight about the culture and history of Banyarwanda.

Day 3-Golden Monkey Tracking.
This day after breakfast, transfer once again to the park briefing area, but this time for golden monkey trekking. Golden monkeys are interesting primates that are unique and reside only with in the Virunga region. Attend the pre-trek briefing before starting your golden monkey trek just like the previous day. Enter the park and embark on the tracking for the golden backed primates.
You can carry packed lunch but usually the trek lasts a few minutes and you are able to return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Or you can opt for a visit to the twin lakes.

Day 4- Drive back to Kigali and do a city tour.
After breakfast, the driver guide will transfer you to Kigali to return to your hotel or take your flight home. Depending on you flight schedule you can do a short city tour in Kigali town before departure.
