After breakfast transfer to Nyungwe forest national park about 4 hour drive from Kigali. Driving through the scenic country side viewing the beaituful winding hills and valleys. Make a stop at Butare to visit the ethnographic museum the largest museum in Rwanda consisting of over a thousand artifact entailing information about the rich Rwanda cultural heritage. Later you will move to the Nyanza palace royal home to the two Rwanda i.e. king Musinga and his successor king Rudahigwa, you will also be able to see the local cows famous for their beautiful horns. Later you will retire into the safari to Nyugwe forest and check in in at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay preparing for another day.
Early in the morning after breakfast, move to the park headquarters you will be briefed on the dos and don’ts and you will move to the forest in search for the chimpanzees. The forest is also a habitat to several bird species, butterflies and other small animals besides the chimpanzee. The entire chimpanzee tracking exercise can about 3-5hours including meeting them face to face. You will be able to interact, see them feeding and copulating and make good use your cameras taking as many selfies as possible with them before leaving the forest.
Early in the morning after breakfast, transfer to Lake Kivu area along the Congo Nile trail viewing the beautiful sceneries and the beautiful African rivers. You will have the view of Lake Kivu and the resort towns of the Cyangungu and Kikuyu earlier before arriving at Gisenyi. You will later move to lake kivu sand beaches to relax and unwind after a long journey, grab a few drinks and lunch. Before retiring to you place of accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay. Early in the morning at about 6:00 am, drive to volcanoes Rwanda national park about 2 hours from Gisenyi. You will arrive there early enough for briefing along with other gorilla trekkers. You will be assigned a game ranger guide and a specific family of gorillas on which you are supposed to track from. One has to carry along tracking gears, packed lunch and enough water to quench the thirst while in the tracking exercise. Move to the forest in search for the gorillas, while in the forest you will encounter great flora and fauna, several bird species and animals like the duikers. Later you will meet up with the huge primates but you only you will be able to interact with them take enough photos. It takes about 3-6hours for you to spend trace and find the gorillas. Later you will retire to you place of accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Early in the morning after breakfast wake up to the beautiful view of the forest at volcanoes park. Later you will embark on 2-3 hours journey to Kigali viewing the Rwandan hillside. As you soon you get to Kigali you will be able to have a brief Kigali tour of the Rwanda genocide memorial to view what took place during the 1994 Rwanda genocide .later you will proceed to the airport early enough for your flight.
