Giving Back to the Community

1 How the program works

Alongside our mountain-climbing and wildlife-safari adventures, Kilimanjaro Safari Experience plays a role in community development by directing a portion of our profits towards helping less-fortunate communities in Tanzania.

Through a dedicated program, a set percentage of the profit from every mountain and safari adventure goes towards supporting people in various centres in the Kilimanjaro region — including:

• Orphans
• People affected by HIV
• Pregnant mothers
• Widows

You can nominate a centre yourself, and the support can be sent directly on your behalf. We believe in helping the less fortunate towards an environment that not everyone is able to reach on their own.

2 Education

We work on the continual improvement of school facilities and provide much-needed resources — book and uniform donations, resurfacing the football field, and current plans to expand overcrowded classrooms. Because education is the key to every child’s development and success, this work helps provide a brighter future for these deserving students.

3 Health

Using our extensive network and contacts, we organise a series of medical assessments throughout the villages of Tanzania. As a result, hundreds of patients are now able to receive much-needed surgeries and gain access to continual medical care.

Malaria death rates are particularly high in the rural areas of Tanzania, so mosquito nets are crucial in reducing the number of infections — and we are proud to sponsor and take part in a net-distribution program.
